Kondex Hosts Senator Johnson for I Make America Tour.

“This is a fabulously clean plant, which means that your quality level and customer service is probably top-notch as well, so you all deserve a lot of credit for it,” Senator Ron Johnson remarked in his opening address to Kondex associates. The Senator’s recent visit to Kondex was part of an I Make America tour stop, where associates could sign up to become a member of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) I Make America program and help advocate for legislature that promotes American manufacturing. Kondex has supported AEM’s I Make America program for six consecutive years.

“We’re sometimes asked why we get involved with these events – what’s in it for Kondex,” commented Company President Jim Wessing. “I like to relate AEM’s efforts in supporting manufacturing to our own efforts in looking out for the best interests of our customers and end users of our products. In either situation, the answer is that together we both win.”

With approximately 80 percent of Kondex products used in agricultural equipment and most of these components supplied to original equipment manufacturers, you’ve likely witnessed a Kondex product being used by farmers harvesting, baling, or mixing crops for feed. In terms of legislature, the political actions that impact farmers and original equipment manufacturers also impact Kondex.

“We support AEM in their effort to strengthen U.S. infrastructure, support the Renewable Fuel Standard, and ensure access to foreign markets,” said Wessing. “These are bipartisan issues that have a direct impact on our business, and we appreciate having a larger voice as a partner to AEM.”
