FFA Officers Visit Kondex.
Kondex Corporation recently welcomed 15 state and national FFA (Future Farmers of America) officers to its Lomira, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This visit allowed the officers to learn more about the role Kondex plays in advancing agriculture, and also witness how many of its components are manufactured.
“It was a privilege to provide FFA with a tour and additional details on the impact Kondex makes within the agricultural industry,” said Kondex President Jim Wessing. “FFA does an excellent job developing students as future leaders, and it was very evident that this team is well poised to benefit our industry. We look forward to future partnership opportunities with FFA, on both a state and national level.”
“As a Lomira resident, I see first-hand how important the Kondex Corporation is to the community. From an intriguing place to work to the unwavering support they give back to the community and school, Kondex is a business that never fails to lend a helping hand,” commented Kati Kindschuh, FFA State Reporter. “Throughout the visit with Jim Wessing and his staff, you can feel the sense of pride that they all share, their beliefs in harmony with those of the Wisconsin Association of FFA. I truly enjoyed my time visiting with the people of Kondex, and am thankful I could share this dynamic company with my teammates and Wisconsin State FFA Staff.”
Alison Wedig, President of Darlington FFA also shared her impressions from the tour. “Visiting Kondex was a great experience. Before the visit, I thought that I would learn how Kondex products were made as well as the impact that Kondex has on the agricultural industry. I did just that; however, I also learned that Kondex shares the same values and goals that agricultural education does. I enjoyed seeing the variety of products that Kondex makes, including the new innovative ways to improve their products for their buyers.”
“We thank Kondex very much for their wonderful hospitality and warm welcome to the Wisconsin State FFA Officer team and our National FFA Officer Steven Brockshus at their facility in Lomira,” said State FFA Executive Director Cheryl Zimmerman. “Allowing these young leaders to meet face-to-face with industry leaders and seeing the awesome technology that is supporting the agricultural industry is an excellent educational opportunity for these FFA officers. The Wisconsin Association of FFA appreciates all that Kondex does in support of Agricultural Education, FFA and the FFA Alumni in Wisconsin.”
The Wisconsin Association of FFA has 255 chapters throughout 10 state sections, and supports more than 19,000 members. The program is part of the public school system that ties directly to agricultural education classroom instruction.
