Kondex Achieves Gold Status in I Make America Campaign for Second Year

Pro-Manufacturing Policies Pursued to Improve Economy

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) announces that Kondex Corporation has once again joined the elite ranks of the I Make America campaign’s Gold-level company supporters.

I Make America is a national grassroots campaign launched by AEM in September 2010 to press for strengthened manufacturing policies needed to create more jobs in the U.S. and keep our economy competitive with other countries.

“Kondex Corporation has been a valuable leader in I Make America and our effort to advocate for stronger manufacturing policies in Washington,” said Dennis Slater, President of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). “I congratulate Kondex Corporation and its employees on this outstanding achievement.  Their commitment to better the manufacturing industry, their community and the country has be exceptional, and they have proven themselves true leaders.”

“I Make America is important to all of the Associates at Kondex Corporation because we are proud to be part of American manufacturing,” said Jim Wessing, President of Kondex Corporation.  “Efforts like I Make America help make it possible for us to implement Kondex’s mission of helping Feed and Fuel the World.”

I Make America Gold-Level supporters are an important group of companies that have achieved participation benchmarks marking them as industry leaders. Benchmarks can include significant employee involvement; outreach to their state, local and federal legislators; and promoting campaign sign-ups at trade shows and with allied trade associations.

The campaign has enlisted the support of nearly 29,000 people nationwide, AEM’s 900+ member companies, and industry organizations.
