Kondex Earns AE50 Award for Draper Roller Innovation
Kondex Corporation was recently named a winner of The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers’ (ASABE) AE50 Award for its draper drive roller improvements. This annual award is granted to up to 50 companies from around the world that present the most innovative designs in engineering products or systems for the food and agriculture industries, as determined by a panel of international engineering experts.
Kondex, in collaboration with original equipment manufacturer MacDon Industries, Ltd., has developed a patented draper drive roller that features laser clad embedded tungsten carbide ribs on the end of the roller. Compared to traditional vulcanized rubber rollers, Kondex’s product offers greater traction and wear resistance in all conditions, which significantly increases drive and roller durability and belt life.
“We are honored to receive this award, and even more excited about the benefits it brings to the end users of MacDon equipment,” commented Kondex Vice President of Business Development and Product Engineering Keith Johnson. “As an OEM supplier, our customers value our willingness to find solutions that further improve their products. This award is a result of such a partnership.”
Kondex, and all award winners, will be featured in the January/February issue of ASABE’s Resource magazine.
