Kondex has added Straw Claw® blades compatible with New Holland CR and CX Series combines to its straw chopper product family. These patented blades feature our exclusive laser cladding additive that controls how and where the blades will wear, causing a self-sharpening effect as the blades are used. This results in a better performing, longer-lasting knife that is also less prone to balance issues due to the consistency of the wear pattern. Strip-till and no-till farmers are also extremely pleased with the consistent cut size and distribution offered by the Kondex blades, which leads to faster microbial breakdown of the crop residue.
